It happened once and it will happen again. Roy is scared.

Prepare to be dominated.
LMFAO sure bring it on I'd like to see 8-2 like we did to the sharks

BTW, gave up the best goal tender in the league for the results for one game? I'd be as far away from envy as I possible could (I'd kick my own @ss if I gave up the winningest goal tender)

From the Avalanche newsgroup FAQ:

"Early in the 95-96 season, then Montreal Canadien goaltender Patrick Roy
was having troubles with Montreal coach Mario Tremblay. It started with a
verbal spat in the locker room in late November of 1995 and there was
turmoil as the Canadiens went on a 5 game winless streak. In early
December 1995, the Red Wings played the Canadiens at the Montreal Forum
and Detroit scored nine goals on Patrick Roy. Tremblay left Roy out there
on the ice to demonstrate that it was Tremblay and not Roy that controlled
the team. After Roy was pulled after the ninth goal, he told team
president Ronald Corey, "This is my last game for Montreal." He faced
Tremblay and said, "As-tu compris?" (Did you understand?)

The next day, an apologetic Roy met with Montreal GM Rejean Houle, who
decided to trade Roy anyways. It turns out that before the season began,
Corey had decided to trade Roy before the deadline and this incident
provided the impetus to do so. Roy was traded the same day they
inaugurated his wing at the Ronald McDonald Children's Hospital in
Montreal.

On December 6th, 1995 the Avalanche traded Jocelyn Thibault, Andrei
Kovalenko, and Martin Rucinsky to Montreal for Patrick Roy and Mike Keane."

The game against the Wings was just the last straw. It wasn't the CAUSE of the trade, but it didn't help.

LET'S GO RED WINGS!

The only reason you can say this is because Salani missed the easiest shot I have ever seen. If he would have hit it the Sharks could have played keep away hocky like the Avalanch did......................

Yes, be careful about what you ask for.

And the Wings are only going to get better, much better, as they get their legs.

What else is new? The Avs D has let them down a LOT in these playoffs.

Also, Roy gave up a couple of softies. Sorry, but McCarty shouldn't be blowing slap shots past Roy like that.

And?
And... you can't figure it out?? point out the bad only of a goal tender that has become the most winning in the entire NHL... there is the hint... meditate on it for awhile... open your mind up some, and don't be on a single train of thought... you might figure the "And" out for yourself, it was very self explanitory

Yeah, had nothing to do with the fact that the Wings are a good team either.

Is it that hard to give the other team some credit?

I wasn't denying his accomplishments. I was only clarifying WHY he was traded. That information was taken from the AVS NEWSGROUP. I quoted it directly. If you have a problem with it, take it up with them.

I wasn't "pointing out the bad". I am well aware of what type of goalie he is, but that wasn't the point of my post. Read it in the context it was posted and you will understand WHY it was posted.

Whomever told Mac to go high on the glove side, sure did his homework. On the second and third of Mac's goals, Waaah went down in the butterfly and Darren went high.
