Who besides me predicted this?
I don't understand why this movie is so popular. Is it the 3D? Does the average person wank off to James Cameron?
Because. It didn't have the hype of all the other movies (e.g. TDK, ROTK, Star Wars). Instead, it's a lot like Titanic. Cameron had the same idea. People go see it (the true fans), and then come back and bring more people in. That's why Avatar is so weird. People keep tweeting and FBing about it because people thought this movie was a WTF and a bust. It's working though. Just looking @ the numbers I have to say it's a huge hit. It's not the same kind of hit TDK was or any other big blockbuster like Spiderman, etc.
I've seen the trailers, heard the hype, and read (some of) the threads, and STILL don't care to see this movie. What the hell is wrong with everyone else?

I wonder what % of those who bash the movie have even seen the movie? Go see it and help the prophecy become reality (while also adding credibility to your bashing).
Absolutely not. I resist the tug of the sheeple mob mentality, especially when it comes to supporting a crummy, overhyped CG-fest. I probably won't even watch it on DVD now because of the nausea inducing love-fest this movie is receiving. Nice try though. "Prophecy"...ha!
How do you know the movies is a crummy, overhyped CG-fest? I haven't talked to many people who actually saw it who think this, and you haven't seen the movie so it's kind of hard to make such a bold statement.
"resist the tug of the sheeple mob mentality"? We're talking about shelling out $10 bucks for some entertainment, not jumping off a freaking bridge.
