I initially thought it was Adam Warlock - but wasn't sure how Fury would have known about them. I had to look it up on the internet.

The movie is 2 1/2 hrs long plus 15min previews plus getting there 15min early = 3hrs.

I have a coupon for a free large Coke (64oz?).
God,I think I'm going to be running to the bathroom at least twice during the movie

Adam Warlock was confirmed to not show up until the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie which is how we know a certain person really won't be dead for good in the next Infinity War movie.

Yeah, Ayesha and the Sovereign will be back in the third Guardians movie, which means it'll likely have Adam Warlock introduced as an antagonist.

As I've said not a huge comic book fan, but she sounds pretty important and as been all over the place. I'm surprised I didn't know about her.

Captain Marvel has been a different character over time. Carol Danvers is only one of the recent variants where the original was a Kree (same race as Ronan the Accusor, the antagonist from Guardians of the Galaxy) named Mar-Vell. Carol Danvers becomes a Kree-Human hybrid via an accident, and she takes up the Ms Marvel name and eventually becomes Captain Marvel. Mar-Vell is slated to be in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie (played by Jude Law). I don't know if the movies will follow the same storyline as the comics as it doesn't really matter. Although, I did hear that the movie will take place in the past, and it will feature the Skrulls, which lends credence to Marvel potentially using something like Secret Invasion as their next Avengers focus.

There's nothing wrong with not really knowing about these heroes. Arguably, Iron Man wasn't a very popular hero until the first movie came out.

The last movie I saw was Wonder Woman. So are you saying that this is worth seeing?

Depend on how invested you are into MCU I guess, WW is a better movie. I watched 1/2 of movies in MCU, I think it worth it just to see how's things go.

I'm going to disagree with that. Wonder Woman was a solid movie. Infinity War is truly something special. It's a must see if you've watched a decent chunk of the Marvel movies.

I missed a lot of these movies and it didn't effect the pure 3 hours of awesomeness I saw. Sure it's kind of like going to a concert and not knowing the lyrics to a few songs but it's not the end of the world.

Sometimes I think knowing too much isn't all it's cracked up to be. You sit there watching for plot holes instead of enjoying the movie.

Seriously...this was a 2 1/2 hour movie rehashing the same characters we've seen in 10+ different movies, and I was not bored during any of it....I was quite impressed. To put it in perspective, I went back and watched Age of Ultron a few days ago, and that movie still sucks.

That was a thing I was disappointed in. I really wanted Adam to show up. I'm not a big fan of Captain Marvel (much preferred her when she was Ms Marvel wanting to up her Q Rating than teh bad armor wearing uber airforce character. I also have to wonder wtf has she been doing through all this. You'd figure she'd be active if the planet was getting multiple alien attacks.. but again, I hated the post credits stuff.. It was a hint at what's next in movies but didn't fit the narrative to me. Of course the post credit scene after Thor was thrown out completely like it never happened here so I'm not sure these count anymore.

What do you mean by this? 2011 Thor?

I was bluring post credit scenes with trailers for IW that I saw. I remembered the post credit scene with Thor and Loki opening up the air lock to see the GotG. I can't find it online anywhere, so I'm either bluring it all together or the movie theater I saw it at had a different post credit scene.. as the odds of that happening are low, I'm going with I'm bluring stuff together. oops..

There's a lot in Marvel movie trailers that are made specifically for the trailers, especially for Infinity War, to not give away too many spoilers.

Yeah, I also read that it appears that Warlock won't appear until after this is all wrapped up...which at first is a bummer because it's the only "honest" way to defeat Thanos, but then again this is better at this point, because his showing up, suddenly would be a major McGuffin to non-comic aware fans of this stuff.

Oh wait, but now there is Captain Marvel, for some reason, who IIRC is no better than someone like Hulk or Thor when it comes to power, anyway....so I dunno

I've also been damn sick of Tony Stark since, probably the first Avengers movie. That, and the first Iron Man, then the rest he's just a petulant asshole. Of course my mind is also still stuck in the 90s when heroes like the Avengers were pretty much just relegated to hospital-guard duty during these Infinity events and the only earth-bound heroes able to fight here were some of the X-Men, Hulk, and Dr Strange.

And I did watch this the other day, and I have surmised how this will all go down. It is flawless, too (yes, it is the single eventuality that Dr Strange viewed):

Deadpool crosses over into Infinity War II, after renewing his vows to Lady Death. The newly re-newlyweds go on their honeymoon to Thanos's farmland paradise--where he retired at the end of the first movie--to taunt him. A despondent Thanos, his heart shattered at the sight of his one true love, blissfully wed to that cretin, Deadpool--whom can no longer be killed because Lady Death granted him immortality, untouchable by the gauntlet, as a wedding gift--wills himself dead, and the power of the gauntlet defaults into the hands of Deadpool. Deadpool then uses the gauntlet to end the MCU on the spot. No more movies. Ever.

AFAIK there's no footage of that. It would have been really cool to see that but with how much was in this movie, I can understand why they didn't add that in.

I just re-figured it out:

There was no Hawkeye in this flick. That means this shithead survived the culling, somehow, by some dastardly Mephistian machination. Bullshit Hawkeye is being held back for no legitimate reason.

This god damn bullshit motherfucking series is going to end with a motherfucking Clint Barton god damn arrow to motherfucking Thanos' eye.

Fuck this noise.
