My eMachines m6811 crapped out the other day, I suspect that the graphics chipset fried itself out and rendered itself inable to display anything except pretty green blocks and funny colors and letters. Exciting, I know. Anyways, since I bought the 3yr warranty from Best Buy when I got it, I took to the "Geek Squad" and they sent it to eMachines for repair.
My question is: How long do repairs usually take for these kinds of problems with notebooks? I figure they might have to replace the whole motherboard or maybe give me a new one all together, who knows... But I'm wondering (and dreading..) how long I'll have to suffer without a computer.. (although maybe it'll do me some good to step away from the computer for a while... hopefully not over a month though ).
Anybody with some experience in dealing with sending in notebooks for repairs, your input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for any replies!
