average temp for amd xp 2000+

right now with my alpha 8045 heatsink im getting a steady 45 normal and 52 loaded...

i wish i could go lower but it looks like that's it.. before the new heatsink i was getting high 60's

Nothing wrong with those temps. Are you having trouble? Lock-ups?

Right now I am at 53.5 on a oem hsf, and an almost open case (28c). Sounds just fine to me. I get to 55c on seti or heavy 3d use.

Why do you want to have lower cpu temperatures?
