It may be a good clean software - I'm just saying I don't always trust "free", especially when released by a company like AOL.

The catch is that the AOL/Kaspersky just became available a little over a week ago, and this thread is old.

Wow, I didn't even check the date on the start of the thread, the day was close enough to normal, and the month being a "6" is too close to looking like "8"

Is there any way to continue using AntiVir PE without upgrading to Premium? I have been using it for quite sometime and have been pretty happy with it then all the sudden it tells me my license has expired. It's really just a demo with an expiration date.

Yep, I've used AVG for years with no issues. I make my entire family put it on their pc's and recommend it to all clients that ask for a recommendation.

Hard to argue with something that is free and works so well. Why fix what ain't broke?

Antivir: It's (relatively) new, it's german, it's extra tough.

I've been using antivir for years and I've never had any issues or any viruses. I automatically update it when I turn on the computer so I never have issues with it slowing my computer down. I have never had any virus problems with antivir so I see no reason to switch.
