Everyone probably knows that already...but I got it before reading that. After getting off the phone with their "customer service" and telling them that I have not received anything since the September issue, here is what I wrote to them:
I am trying to reach a John Nichols about my subscription and how I get that cancelled and refunded to me since the only ?solution? that your customer service desk can provide is for ME to contact my post office to see if they are holding it up. The only thing that my PO will hold is oversized packages that will not fit in a mailbox, or if you have your mail held ( I know the postman and have spoken to him on several occasions about potentially missing items). What your drones suggest has to be one of the DUMBEST things I have ever heard of coming from a customer service agent. Especially considering I get every other magazine that I have a subscription to (I told both people that) ? including several others which are far more likely to be pilfered than GI.
My address is correct on the label, I only had to go over that twice. I have not received a thing since the September issue. I have been on the customer service side of things in a couple of different job opportunities and the first thing either one of those guys should have done was offer to send me out the missing issue(s). It?s business 101 ? please the customer, not agitate the customer. It is called customer service for a reason, and that was not it. I asked your drones (yes, drones since they could only read off the sheet) how they would feel in my position ? one said they would call the post office (the only answer he could give me after I asked twice) and the other one could not give me a good response.
Tell me this, can someone 100% guarantee me that my issue(s) in question (a) rolled off the press properly and (b) even made it out for delivery? You cannot get an answer to that any better than I can get asking the post office if they have a single (or two) magazines that they held (just GI, nothing else) instead of delivering it to me.
Now you have a customer who wants a refund on his remaining issues because of your companies lack of customer service and probably will never step foot in another GameStop based on this ?spectacular? customer service experience.
Sorry everyone, but I had to rant that one out...those drones they have on the phone should have their pictures next to the phrase "horrible customer service". What type of moron doesn't offer to send you out a replacement issue(s)?
I'd say more, but they would all be word that my son would have to use ear muffs for.
