Willy Wonka's Bottle Caps (still ocassionally seen in 3 piece wrappers like sweetarts at halloween). I love bottlecaps!...and can't find them.
I remember the "kool-aid" in the expandable container. Jello pudding pops rocked, but I think they got cancelled right along with the Cosby show.

Pizza spins [orange-colored, round, spoked crackers that looked like little wheels] -- I loved them!

No longer made...

This stuff was truely awesome... colored green, tasted orange. How can you get any better? Plus this was the time when slimer was king and the Ghostbuster rocked hard. I would love to have this childhood treat back

From Wiki
Ecto Cooler was product tie-in with the movie Ghostbusters. Hi-C struck a deal in 1984 to promote the movie by developing a drink. Expected to last only as long as the movie, the drink was successful beyond expectations and continued to be produced for the better part of two decades. The Ecto Cooler box featured the Ghostbusters character Slimer, as did the commercials. Slimer left the box sometime around 1997, but Minute Maid did not discontinue the product until 2001, at which point it was renamed Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen. Slimer was replaced on the packaging by a similar-looking blob of lips. Excepting the flavor, the only other unchanged aspect of the product is that it is still being noted as ecto cool on many store receipts.

In 2006, Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen was renamed Crazy Citrus Cooler.

Ecto Cooler is also the nickname of an alcoholic drink that is made by mixing a lemon-lime powder mix with vodka, sugar, water, and ice. [1]

Because of popular demand, mega retailers such as Walmart and Target have agreed to begin restocking this product as of March 2007.[citation needed]

I really want proof of that last claim... I f'n loved ecto cooler and if it comes back I may die.

I loved getting that stuff in my lunchbox when I was a little kid.

Wouldn't be suprised if they bring it back, companies seem to be cashing in again on all kinds of merchandising from the 80's. *Angrily raises fist at the awful looking new TMNT movie*

I think it was Nabisco that used to make shredded wheat in big bricks that'd you have to break up, haven't found that in a long time. That stuff had a better texture and tasted far better than the bite-size mini wheat varieties.

What I really miss though is microwave carmel popcorn... came with a pouch of goo to melt over the popcorn. Sooo gooood. I still find it in Mexico periodically, but not in the U.S. I imagine some idiot burned themselves and sued.

I miss dnL. It was pop that had the 7-up logo turned upside down on the bottle. It was green colored, and the taste wasn't really comparable to anything else out there.

Pizzarias (pizza flavored chips)

I remember my friend's sister and a box of doo dads. I asked if she would get me the box from the cabinet, and she said "We don't have doo dads, but we have something called spap oop. It looks like the same thing, do you want to try that?" Confused, I went to see what she was talking about. Somebody put the box in the cabinet upside down, and it looked like the box said 'spap oop' due to them using all lower case to spell out 'doo dads'. We called it spap oop ever since then.

There was a cereal called Oh's! or something like that. they were like big cherios and had a honey nut filling in the middle. I loved those.
Maybe they just don't have Oh's! in Michigan, but I was eating handfuls of them yesterday. Awesome semi-good-for-you snack.

Fruitopia?

Maybe they still make it, but I can't find it anywhere in eastern Tennessee...

Lots of McDonalds fountains have it, I know for a fact that the McDonalds on 56th and Fowler in Tampa has at least one flavor in there, because when I got to the fountain I was all "WTF? FRUITOPIA?"

LOL. Yeah, pretty much all of them in Lowell (I think we have about 10) have Fruit Punch & Grape Fruitopia, as well as Powerade. AFAIK, that's the only place to get Fruitopia; haven't seen a bottle of it in years.

edit: according to wikipedia it still exists but is hard to find

Are they still just marketing that as a Summer item?

wikipedia indicates that it is still marketed, and that it is best found in gas stations and convenience stores.

i'm wondering if the bottler in my area carries it.

edit: bottler in my area says they don't carry it anymore

That stuff rocked with some Bacardi Orange. Or Stoli Orange. Or Orange Schanpps, Triple Sec, Curacao, etc. I swear that was the PERFECT summertime drink. Oddly enough, the sub shop down the street from work seems to be the only place that has it year round.

Crystal Pepsi and Nintendo cereal. Oh man, those are some memories.

The aftertaste of Gatorade when you've recently brushed your teeth tastes a lot like Nintendo cereal

Discontinued food products that I miss:

Crinkly fries at Carl's Jr (Hardees)

Sourdough Parmesan Cheeseburger (Carl's Jr) - I could have this wrong, maybe Jack in the Box and maybe got the name wrong, but it was summer of 1994 and it was a "limited time" sandwich. I recall it being sourdough bread coated with parmesan cheese, like cheese bread, with a single burger patty, maybe a slice of cheese, finished off with sauteed/carmelized onions between the patty and the top bun. OMG I so wish this was available again because I'd be eating it often, and so wish it wasn't because I don't need the calories. Anyone remember this burger?

Not to toot my own horn but what the hay ....I agree Josta was an awesome drink. I helped design the flavor system (actually one of several) that made up the final beverage. From what I recall and from bits and pieces heard via others involved, Pepsi decided to put the product on the market with virtually no advertising in most areas (maybe a billboard here and there, a half page magazine ad, etc.) and see if it could sprout legs on its own via word of mouth. It's placement in market areas was targeted more towards urban youth. Everyone I ever talked to about it said they liked it but alas I think sales never reached some undisclosed level to keep it viable

Anyway, another poster was mentioning the availability of FrankenBerry and BooBerry....wasn't there also a Wolfman character version that was a grape flavor or something (this must be late seventies/early eighties)

Plus, can you still buy the regular old Taco Doritosanywhere?

Jolt Cola (I remember it dissapeared for a while, but now seems to be back)... TAB... Crystal Pepsi was so different when it came out.

Wendy's Smokey Bacon Classic burger now that was dang good... some good memories of a Summer of moving and that burger was din din for a week or two

I recall those purple candies that came in a puck/disc container... you threw one into your mouth, and your tongue, mouth, and teeth turned dark purple... pulled because the dye in the candies was cancer causing :Q

Anyone else remember dairy queen beef nuggets? They sounded horrible but actually weren't too bad. Dick Clark was in the commercials for them, iirc.
