Moohoo!!! It's good to know that OGR has not been forgotten. And I have crossed 2 Pnodes to boot!

Its me

Saw that Ireland was languishing in 39th place and decided to do something about it. Then saw that TA was number two and that settled it.

So I moved my machines from a different project to DNET, liked the OGR contest (at least its useful), and went for it.
All the clients are standard workstations, no servers.

The best .ie member was at 600,000 and set that as my first goal. Passed him on Friday. So now I am looking for a new goal

Just a pity there is not much team activity on these boards re OGR. Seti is a no go as it causes problems for me and mine. The DNETC client is benign, and the personal proxy software is reliable.

Brazil is about 2.5 days work , I was thinking more like Spain to get into the top 25. Namibia has me puzzled considering only two people are listed

I was going to try for top spot in the UK but Inpharmatica seem to have tha wrapped up.

Its all in the name of good fun

<< Nice day yesterday TeAm........459,367 Gnodes from only 88 people >>

Nice! WooMoo!

Also, I've started a little MiniDump today (Dec. 3). It's not much compared to Monsieur Timmons, but I hope I break my own record today...

Oh, hi JWT! I guess I must have missed your introduction. Just goes to show that I don't get out that much anymore.

Anyway, belated welcome! What a herd you have there!! Yeah, OGR has always taken a back seat to RC5-64 and things got even worse when a lot of people on TA got upset at dnet over its handling of the David McOwen's case. That is why it's especially nice to me to see an encouraging thread like this one to feel that the OGR team has not been left for dead. Go TeAm!!

ATTENTION: TEAM ANANDTECH OGR

We still need a short one or two line description of the OGR project and a link to either the FAQs or OGR Homepage to be included in the Welcome Thread.

Someone work it up and PM me and I'll see it gets placed in the "Welcome to the AnandTech Distributed Computing Forum! " thread. This would certainly help your recruiting efforts.

Clueless, you can run, but you can't hide. Congrats on the 2 Pnodes!

jwtimmons, welcome to the team! I'm not sure if you knew or not, but we have our own TA Stats Server. If you need a 30 min stats fix, check here: Mika's OGR Stats. If you would like to be listed, just change your pproxy or clients to use keyserver: proxy.teamanandtech.com, port 2064 (we also serve port 23 & 80 if needed). Enjoy!

Set the perproxy to the TA proxy, Thanks.

Nice to see there is still some interest in OGR here.

446,895 Gnodes for 82 people was pretty good as well.

I am being out classed by Buzzman Waltz; Me thinks me has a challenge to look forward to

On a personal note Brazil is gone next stop Hong Kong.

No problem jwtimmons! That is an impressive load coming through the team RR & keymaster pproxies!

There has always seemed to be interest in OGR, but we were always a small unit of the team. It is always great to get a helping hand!

Hey jwtimmons, if it makes you feel any better, I'll be starting up a machine for the OGR project in January.

AW shucks JWT keeps his head down and mumbles "Thanks"

Me thinks I am going to regret that last reply "Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it it in for me"

I think I'll use that for my sig!

I am playing with a vb script to trigger the PerProxy to flush a certain times of the day. Currently it's set to every half hour 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. But seeing as how it hasn't flushed in the last three hours I may need to work on it further

Proxy should flush at 100 stubs regardless, so hopefully it will flush around 10 pm anyway. If not production will be down for today but up for Friday. I'm not hoarding then dumping, honestly.
