Did a search and didn't find this exact deal.

I was browsing pricewatch earlier and noticed a DLT3C 1700 for $62 shipped:

http://www.mscomponent.com/store/pricewatch.hmx?PWid=AXP1700-O

The site doesn't mention what production week these chips are from but I understand that most of the 1.5V t-breds overclock reasonably well.

Excaliberpc charges about $79 shipped for a similar item:

http://www.excaliberpc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1926

For $62 it might be worth a shot to pick up one of these up to see how it overclocks.

True, but you are not guaranteed to get the 1.5V version . . . Both of these look like good deals, one is really cheap, the other is 25% more but with a guarantee.

These could also be the early Tbred A's....

I gambled earlier this month and bought one from NewEgg. Apparently they still have old stock cause I got a Tbred A that was produced late last year. It overclocks a little (2000+ speeds at 10.0 x 166 MHz), but if you really want to overclock, I would not buy from them. Don't take the risk. Go with the guaranteed good one.

As luck would have it, my friend was asked to build a system for his sister. He bought from a local store, and I checked out their chips and they had new stock, so I knew he was getting a good chip. I talked him into switching processors with me, since his sister isn't going to overclock her new system. It was a new Tbred B and I have it currently running at 2200 MHz (2800+ speeds, 12.5 x 176 MHz). Apparently this is quite common for the new Tbred Bs.

The system becomes unstable past this speed. My MB multipliers don't go past 12.5 so I can only increase the FSB, which also increases the PCI and AGP speeds. Somewhere one of my components can't handle it. It could be my MB (Asus A7V333), my memory (PC2700 rated), or the PCI network card or AGP video card. But all you really need to know is the Tbred B is a much better overclocker than the Tbred A, and I would go for the sure thing.

DUTC is 100% a Tbred "B"

DLTC can be either a Tbred "B" OR Tbred "A" (The very first Tbred's were all DLTC, then recently, they have changed some of the B's to DLTC.

If the week/year code is 0302 or newer, most likely any DLTC will be B's

And ANY cpu ending in B such as: AUIHB, JIUHB is a Tbred B

You will not get this from Newegg unless it specifically mentions it.
The DLT3C JIUHB is a "Mobile Processor", which explains the lower voltage.
Newegg used to sell the Mobile Processor, and list them as mobile every time.

CPU must show all of the following to be a good one
DLT3C
Stepping Code : JIUHB (note the "B")
Default 1.5V

So, is anybody going to bite on this deal and see what they get? I would, but I'm not in the market for a CPU right now . . .

Just because it says DLT3C doesn't gaurantee its a tbred B. I got one from newegg that says
AXDA1700DLT3C AIRGA and according to AIRGA, this would be a tbred A.
I always end up getting the short end of the stick :frown:.
Anyway running stabily @ 200Mhz FSB DDR 400Mhz sync with my 2700 RAM that I o/c to 400Mhz DDR.
clock 8.5x vcore @ 1.5 default. Maximum stable speed with 200Mhz FSB = 1700Mhz :frown:
