That will work. are those $45 off codes reusable? I may order an axim and a digital camera. also, anyone have a 10or15 off code they aren't using?

Doesn't let you configure it.

When I went in and configured it from the Dell Home site it removed the coupons. Still a good deal, but I'd like to include the 802.11b adapter and/or a few extra stylus'. Guess I can buy one separate.

The Axim has pretty good battery life (6+ hours). So whether you'll need an extra battery or not really depends on your use. If you do a lot of small trips where you don't want to bring the charger, it makes sense. If you're more of a go to class/work all day, come home and pop the Axim into the cradle, then you probably won't need an extra battery.

If you do decide on an extra battery, I have read that the high capacity battery is twice the size, so it will make an already borderline bulky PDA into a very bulky PDA. I would recommend a standard capacity battery.

First time poster... Excuse any ignorance!

It looks like Dell has made the Axim's both 10% off, bringing the price down to 309 on the 400mhz. Whether or not you try to configure it with extra options OR add accessories, the stackable coupons just don't seem to work. Am I missing something? This is a great deal, but the darn thing won't go through! Combined with the 10% off, it would make this extremely enticing.

When I put in the PDA (added stylus +$9 to bring it to $358), the coupons didn't get accepted and the 10% off didn't show up. Said something about not being eligible with what I had in the shopping cart... However, when I switched the PDA with a ~$400 printer, leaving the coupons in the cart, the coupons got automatically applied and the 10% off showed up.... anyone else get it to work with the PDA?

Yep, the cradle comes with the 400mhz (but not the 300)

However, I've come to find out that both coupons are now dead (Edit: Correction, dead only on the Axim). Kudos to those who got in on the deal before this happened.

Is 310 still good for the Axim, or should the rest of us hold out?

It depends on which Axim you add to your cart apparently. The one's they have advertised don't work. However, if you choose one from this link it does.
Axims
However, I don't believe that the cradles come with any of these, they're separate purchases.

Users on largewallet are reporting that this deal may be dead. Here is a quote of the email they received:

Dear Customer,

Thank you very much for you recent order with Dell online sales. Unfortunately, we were unable to process your order. You are trying to use two coupons, each for $45 off a $350 Software and Peripherals order. However, these coupons are not stackable, and therefore can not be used together. If you would still like to order the Axim, please reply to this email. Otherwise, the order will be cancelled in two days.

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Care department at 800-449-3355 extension 66966. Again, thank you very much for choosing Dellm and have a nice day.

Theoretically the fine print says nothing about not being stackable, but they are the same coupon ($45 off $350) with different codes, so they may just look at that as one coupon.

If you call the 800#, they'll let you use the -10% off + both $45 stackables. I just got the axim 400 for $266.xx shipped!

Edit: Forgot to mention that I added 3-stylii pk. for $9 to get it over $350. The $266.xx incld. tax (for TN).

i got the 349.99 axim, added mini cdrs for 5.95 to get it up to $355.94, minus 10% took off 35.59. Then the coupons on top took off another $90. Total price came out to $230.35 shipped, no tax.

Still waiting on the confirmation e-mail though...

try it out though... use something that's not in the list of axim peripherals to get it over the $350 limit.

After midnight CST one of the "stackable" $45 off $300 coupons is now dead. However, one is still good and now Dell Home is giving you an auto 10% off in your cart. This ends up being $10 less of savings if you buy a 400MHz Axim and a stylus pack:

$358.00 (Axim 400 + 3 pack Axim Stylus')
-$79.90 (Discounts)
---------------
$278.01 (Free ship, plus applicable sales tax)

This is a 100% legit deal and you should have no problems with Dell emailing you. The remaining $45 off $350 coupon lasts until 5/1.

I ordered last night around 6pm. I had this email this morning:
Thank you for choosing Dell! Your online request from this morning could not be processed due to an invalid discount process. Your Axim order shows two (2) requests for $45 coupon codes to be applied to the price of $398. The discount that would be correct for this order would be $45 dollars, giving a price of $353+tax and the requested shipping method. If you would email me back to authorize that at your earliest convenience, I will complete your order. Thank you and have a great day.

that $45 coupon is for $398?

My order is dead.

I got that same message -- I replied to the effect of 398??? Heheh. Either way, 45 off 10% would be fine, which is what I replied with.
