Look out for all the fire-sale merch hitting the market shortly!

"One ATX case, front bezel only slightly melted, minor smoke and water stains, $10"

I work for the Houston Fire Department,...sounds like it was lightning that might have caused the fire.....BTW, just imagine the things that happen in this city that ARE NOT publicized!!!!!

I was getting ready to order stuff from them. They consitently have low prices. Sorry to see this. I bet it will cost them a ton of bussiness. I have to go somewhere else now and spend more :disgust: Their website got hosed along with the fire. Oh yeah, in before the lock.

I usually order Aopen cases from Axion. Have done a fair amount of business with them. About three years ago, I referred two people to them for motherboards and they gave me a discount on a later order. Good people. Hate to see this happen. Hope their insurance covers this and they are back up soon.

What is up with all of the self-appointed forum nazis calling for locks and screaming repost?

Crap! This place is on my way to work, and I've stopped there for good deals. Especially their refurbed and used stuff. Wonder if they'll have some "slightly charred" boxes on sale soon I can pick up. Hope they restart somewhere close soon!

Godwin's Law prov.

[Usenet] "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. Godwin's Law thus practically guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length in those groups. However there is also a widely- recognized codicil that any intentional triggering of Godwin's Law in order to invoke its thread-ending effects will be unsuccessful.

strawdog -

I think you are misapplying Godwin's Law in this circumstance. MY post insinuating that there were self-appointed forum nazis was off-topic, not really related to the discussion at hand. The conversation should be allowed to continue.

To reiterate, the Nazis had nothing to do with the fire at Axion...

Also, Godwin's Law applies to the quasi-jurisdiction known as Usenet. As a result, this law is not controlling over this jurisdiction. It is merely persuasive authority that the mods, as the rulers of this realm, can choose to exercise or ignore at their sole discretion.

I really needed to pick up a new Athlon CPU this weekend from them

I hop that it is not a total loss, for their sake. They are a really solid vendor, and it would be a shame to lose one.
