Azatek has a good reputation on this board. The age of teh monitors vary, but if you an 'A' monitor, expect it to basically look like new and last several years at a minium.
Of course there are no guarantees to this, but Azatek is trustworthy, and seem to be your best bet for used CRT's.

I've had my 19 inch CRT monitor for over 7 years(and still going strong), just replaced it with the 22inch from azatech last month, not because its broken or anything, just wanted something bigger.

The 22" I bought from them three year ago still is as new. Date of Manufacture, 23rd week of 2001.

How long it will last is an open ended question. Just buy one that got strong reviews when
it was new and what ppl have posted here.

Based on reviews of 2001, I bought a Mitsubishi 2060u NF for $350+ship and am glad I did.
The draw-backs are 70# and eats up desk space.

I may get a flat panel soon but would run dual display.

Sony, Mit, NEC and all the rebranded Compaq/Dell seem good for the price and with free shipping
on some.. Go for it.

It was not my intent to confuse you. DoM is shown in the Navaset software used to adjust
this Mitsubishi CRT. I had no idea what the DoM was until after this monster was hooked up.

Usually, if you know the serial number of the display, the manufacture's website should have
a means of finding the DoM by serial number.

I have no idea why they don't tell us.

Mine was a lucky buy. It had no dust in it(looked with a flashlight) and after it warmed up,
I could smell the pleasent odor of woman's expensive perfume for about a day. n/k
There are two smooth lines on the top edge of the case, like it was under a drawer that was
in use. The screen had never been cleaned. Using masking tape, the joint between the screen
and case was sealed. This permitted me to use plenty of mild soapy water to give it it's first
proper cleaning.

Just get a good model for <$150 with free shipping. The Mit I have sells for $375 with no free
shipping and is out of stock.

They ship with the CRT foamed in place inside the box so it will be packaged well.

I bought an A grade 21" Dell P1130 from them and it looked like ******. After ignoring me for over a month I finally got them to send a replacement.

The replacement was also ******.

I demanded they refund my money and pick up their monitors and they never responded.

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

I was quite shocked at how ****** their service was towards me after hearing a bunch of good things and seeing a great score on resellerratings.

It's probably just because I'm in Canada and they figured it would be cheaper to forget about the monitors then try to make me happy with my purchase.

Luckily I work at the aduio visual department at my university and I was able to fix both monitors (one of them has a slight green tinge in one corner like a magnet is affecting it - i just made a post about it).

I've purchased several 19" & 22" Mitsubishi's from Azatek. All were in good condition.

However, the one I'm using now, a 22" Mitsubishi 2040U, was/is absolutely like new. At the time, maybe a year ago, the price was around $270 + $50 freight.

One slick feature of this model and the 2060U is the USB hook-up used to make adjustments on screen instead of the monitor buttons. Waaay easier for a dummy like me.

But... I notice Azatek has a 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Plus® 200 NF for only $99 + freight.
Grade A, Excelent Condition they say. Almost too good to be true. Might be worth a phone call.

Azatek has a ton of 22" Sony's, etc. that have aperture grille screens. These are probably fine, but do have (I believe) 2 faint horizonal lines that are always present. Believe I've read that Sonys are as good as it gets.

With the way these companies store used monitors, it's next to impossible to figure out the DoM of the monitor you will be getting. Plus, DoM is almost useless anyways for buying used monitors online. Because there are so many factors that could affect the end result, transportation being the BIGGEST one. Like with any used items, your luck is a huge factor too. If you are really picky about monitors, don't buy a used one unless your can see it in person.

Did you try looking for CRTs on craigslist?
