I am not rooting for either team, but I think Ravens should nominate the Giants QB for MVP. How in the world can a team call themselves a SuperBowl team when their QB keeps trying to throw the bowl to the other team? One pass after the other keeps getting touched by a Ravens hand. I wonder if the Giants team is going to have a potato sack party for Collins? He's getting his team STOMPED!

Hahahahahaha

just like in super bown XXX when the cowboys beat the steelers, the Cowboy's MVP shoulda been the Steeler's quarterback, O'Donnell

Yep, Collins lost the game for the Giants. Not much any team can do with that many interceptions.

Two ways to look at this:

1) Collins screwed up and threw interceptions.

or

2) The Ravens are the greatest defense ever and forced those interceptions.

I think it's the latter.

he had 7 tackles and several broken up pass plays, including the one that led to the interception which led to the first touchdown.

Oh, come off it -- were you watching the game? The Ravens did not force those interceptions. They were caused by Collins STARING AT HIS RECEIVERS PRIOR TO PASSING. Any high school defender could have picked up on that. I couldn't believe it when they showed some of the replays -- his eyes never left his intended receiver. He showed how much of a rookie he still is. How do you spell "choke"?

Collins = Idiot

And Ray Lewis shouldn't have won the MVP. There really wasn't a single player who should have received it. As is always the case when the defense plays well, it was a team effort. Lewis being the 'appointed' leader of the Ravens defense, they gave it to him.

What a terrible superbowl.

The giants looked like a pop warner team and Collins is the biggest goat in recent memory.

Pathetic. Ray Lewis, the thug, wins MVP, makes the NFL look worse than usual.

Ah well, we can always hope for a better matchup next year.

Where is that outspoken Giants fan? Eh? Did the Giants not have the Ravens radio frequency this week?

red, lol! Lewis should be in jail for obstructing justice at the very least.

It was big of him to say something to the families of the 2 victims, oh wait he didnt!!!

Guys, the Giants running game was doing nothing, so they had to pass. And when they did try to pass, who was open? Sometimes a running back in the flat that was good for 3 yards maybe? I agree that Collins is nothing special, but how do you explain the NFC championship game? The quarterback didn't change, but the opposing defense did. He looked great against the Vikings laughable defense, and like a rookie against the best.

You have to admit, allowing only 23 points in 4 playoff games is amazing. And the only touchdown surrendered yesterday was on special teams. I'm a Detroit Lions fan, (Don't laugh), and I really have no feelings for Baltimore. But I just think that Defensive unit is awesome. If it were possible, I'd love to see if they could've stopped the Aikman/Smith/Irvin Cowboys in their prime.

<< least talented >>

Not (completley) true. Sure he had his bad passes, but did you see how many spot on deep passes that he made? Sure the recievers caught about 2 of them, but he made some great throws. I feel he really is talented, but their offensive gameplan (which consists of running on 3rd and 26, as seen in last weeks game) doesn't allow him to take the chances.

A better recieving corps would help tremendiously as well.

Damn, gonna have to live with this poor performance until the next season, or until I see what the XFL has to offer. Anyway, the Giants were outclassed, sure the Ravens defense was awesome, but Collins made them look even better. I don't know how he could throw into the traffic so many times. He was hoping god would intervene and guide the ball or something. Sure the offensive line was doing jack squat in the beginning, which might have frustrated Collins or shaken him up. But the line did do better later on, and by then, it was too late, Collins had gone too far down to recover.

Anyway, I think this will be my last superbowl related post... everything needed to be said has been said. Giants didn't show up to the game, they couldn't counter what the Ravens defense threw at them. I don't really expect the Giants to make it this far again next year, they got lucky this time, luck won't be with them all the time. Extremely disappointed. But Collins did have that great game agains the Vikings, so he deserves a second chance...

Collins wanted to be the hero, just like he was against the Vikings. It's a common problem with QBs who aren't experienced enough to know better --
"I want to a be the MVP -- I'll throw HARDER into coverage. That works every time!"
I-N-T-E-R-C-E-P-T-I-O-N.
"Wait, my team needs me even more now. I'll throw EVEN HARDER into coverage!"
I-N-T-E-R-C-E-P-T-I-O-N.
"Ok, we can win this if I throw YET EVEN HARDER into coverage. They won't expect that!"
I-N-T-E-R-C-E-P-T-I-O-N.

The Giants should have made Phil Simms suit up. Probably would have won the game for them.
