I guarentee they will make that lady's life a living hell.

That dead guy on the front page appears to be a real freak. If the rest of them are anything like that, yeah, they'll make her life hell, alright.

Ask the neighbor about your missing cat. Provide just enough to get her to admit things (or at least turn beat red enough). As a different (or additional) option, find a way (or ways) to make it safe for the other neighbor to come forward. This was your cat, for god's sake.

Beat her with a bad - a little too drastic, can get you in a world of trouble. Bad idea.
Call the cops - might as well do nothing, same outcome
Key the car - i say knife the tires and scratch it up so badly that she'll have to do a full new paintjob
Do nothing - Your cat's death must be avenged!

Does she leave her car windows open/doors unlocked?

Throw a piece of fish under one of the front seats. It'll get to smellin' good.

You cat people amaze me. I love animals and I have 3 dogs and a rabbit. My rabbit has it's own little house in my house. My 3 dogs are either in the house or in MY back yard. I do not let my animals run free to be a nuisance to anyone else in the neighborhood. Now I realize that cat people feel it is their cat's divine right to roam wherever it chooses. Guess what, it is actully against the law for your cat to be loose, just as it is for my dogs to run.

I myself do not like cats, especially walking on my cars. They scratch the paint and leave nasty paw prints that I have to wash off every morning. Now if I let my dogs roam they get picked up byt animal control. If you call animal control because a cat is on your car they won't do anything because they say cats are too hard to catch. Now, if the authorities won't take care of the situation and the owner of the cat is too irresponsible to keep their cats at THEIR house.........Guess what??..........I KILL the damn cat myself.

Now I'm sorry for the loss of your cat. I don't usually like to see animals harmed. But if a cat owner feels that the rights of his cat to raom free are greater than my right to keep my restored cars' paint in good shape then BYE BYE KITTY!

Call the cops. Killing a cat maybe against your local laws. Some jerk in NYC got jail time for throwing a dog off a bridge.

It might be illegal to tape record a conversation without the other party's consent.

I like my cat A LOT more than the dog we used to have...
dogs are just stupid beasts that run around being stupid, and inside dogs are discusting, get the house all dirty, hair everywhere, yuck
cats have discretion

although some cats are just problems
we had three cats that lived outside (we live in a rural area) and they always stuck close to our house....
one of them.. twinkie...was the sweetest dang cat, but other animals knew not to mess with her... we found her with a raccoon she killed one time, and those things are supposed to be vicious

there was one cat in the neighborhood we took to the pound to be put to sleep
the owners had left the cat here when they moved out, and this cat kept coming to our yard and fighting with our cats trying to get their food (this cat was getting really beaten up.... half of his face was bloody, open sores) so it was it was the only humane thing to do, have him put down
also...
my little brother's friend lives like half a mile down the road.. he has a lot of cats, and a few of them like to come down here....
anyways our cats were getting fairly old.. the oldest was atleast 15(which I believe is old for outside cats)
we lost the youngest to some feline respiratory disease
and the oldest....she was getting old and fragile....
one of my brother's friend's cats kept coming over for the cat food, and hurt our older cat so she had to be put under
it goes without saying, the next time we saw that cat in our yard, my brother plugged it full of lead (we know it was that cat, have seen the cats fighting several times)
when you see your favorite cat try to walk and her backside falls to the ground cause her back legs dont work anymore
poor kitty

when something like this happens, I can definately understand wanting to kill the offending cat...
but just for getting your car dirty? maybe if it scratches your paint, but not for just getting it dirty.... none of our cars have ever been scratched by our cats

You CANNOT legally kill an animal like that. It is against the law. I'm sorry it pisses you off so much that cats get on your car, but get over yourself. Also, cat owner's don't think it is their god given right to let their cats roam... its the cats themselves. You can't tie up a cat in the backyard. Anyway, if you want to treat your neighbor's pet like that, then the next time one of your dogs or rabbits gets loose I hope that someone takes a bat to it. I can't believe that someone would feel justified in killing a person's pet because it happened to get into their yard. Unbelievable. At the very least you could talk to the person first. Good Lord...

I'm very sorry to hear about your cat love1u0. What your neighbor did is terrible. Try the police first. Also try talking to her. If she admits it, then DEFINITELY tell the police and your local humane society. If they can't do anything, they will point you to someone who can, like the ASPCA.

Actually, let's not involve those completely innocent animals' lives on disputes over its owners.

I would agree, wholeheartedly.

Get as much evidence as possible; the only action I could take in good conscience would be to call the police.

Very good point Jerboy. Perhaps I was too hasty. I will say that this guy should put himself in his neighbor's shoes and think how he would feel if someone did that to him.

It's not techno, but could you be referring to The Ramones "Beat On the Brat" (with a baseball bat, oh yeah...) ?

Thanks for the support people. Im not sure what Im going to do yet, I will keep everybody informed. As for cats walking on cars...well I dont think its worth beating them to death. It makes me mad like it would anybody else when I get up in the morning and find cat prints on my car, but I think being that Im not "savage" enough to beat a animal to death, I cant see that it would be justified.

Just come out an ask her? Tell her that the nieghbor told you. Then every time you see her give her a long hard cold stare like you are sizing her up for a coffin. You needn't do anything else, that will spook her enough (unless you look like Billy Barty).

I don't want all the animal lovers and other druid-types to jump all over me, but I mean... it was JUST a cat. It's not like she mauled your three year old child or something. Granted, I'm not an animal person and have no idea how/why people say animals become family members, but I still don't think lashing back out at her is smart.

Why not simply let her know that you know what she did and that you think she's the poo on the heel of a piece of poo wearing shoes? It would be a really bad idea to try and retaliate because the laws of Karma and Murphy state that without a doubt, YOUR arse will be in sling, not hers.

<< it was JUST a cat >>

If a person takes a bat and kills a neighbors cat because it walked on her car then that person definately has a screw loose and is mentally deranged.
