Update: I just called Burbank's Frys and the XP2100 combo doesn't apply there. Oh well, I guess I'll wait for their Friday's ad.

Nope. Doesnt say CPU is retail box. So you need a cooler for it.

factoring in the shipping costs to you, i would suggest getting the dlink 604+ from ecost for $39.99 after MIR and free shipping or the adaptec ultra for $39.99 no MIR.

Do a search for ecost.

If you guys are wondering, the wireless router isn't a rebagged linksys unit. It is actually a rebagged Runtop WR1133 unit. Open the sucker up and checked out the PCB and stuff. The Wireless PCMCIA card inside the router is a Runtop WA1113 card based on a Atmel AT76C502A chip.

If you guys got the $20 Cardbus 802.11b notebook card they had, I believe it's also a rebagged Runtop WA1220 card.

I went to Fry's this evening to check out that wireless router. Every unit that was there had been returned. The quality seemed really poor. I wouldn't recommend it.

You can try. You can look at the CPU when then bring it out to the register. If you don't like it just ask for another. But this process will take about 10 minutes per iteration.

My advice is to flip the processor package upside down when purchasing, and move it around while looking at the pins. I've had to return several of the OEM chips because one or more pins were slightly bent. You'll see incongruent highlights from any bent pins. While I'm sure I could have adjusted the pin or two that was slightly out of wack, I'm just not willing to bother, as I'm sure the damn things will fall off the day after my Fry's warrenty on it expires.

Fry's Sunnyvale Computers are down. ATI Radeon 9800 for free if you know what I mean. Stay away from that place. Supposedly all Fry's Bay area systems are down too. Took a damn near hour to get out of that place. Worst of all everything is a written receipt. Have fun with the rebates!

No kidding, you'd think by now that Fry's would have moved away from their Novell Network DOS based Point of Sales systems.
