Baby diaper disasters

So, last night I was changing my baby's diaper and he smashed his heel in his fresh baby product, and he then looked at me all cute and started kicking his legs around like crazy with a big smile on his cute little face.
In a panic, I tried to control his legs to keep the surroundings clean, but to no avail. It was a long job and was less than pleasant, but I couldn't help but laugh and smile during the whole thing.

In a panic, I tried to control his legs to keep the surroundings clean, but to no avail. It was a long job and was less than pleasant, but I couldn't help but laugh and smile during the whole thing.

I was lucky enough to never go through any disasters with my daughter while she was in diapers. I think once in the tub she couldn't hold it and some poop came out. But at least it was confined and easily cleaned.

The other day our daughter had a diaper 'splosion then (must have) tried to climb out of the crib (she is not capable of this) slipped and got her knee stuck between the crib slats (never happened before). My wife came in to a crying trapped baby covered in poop. Her leg was really stuck too, it got all bruised up by the time my wife got her out. And then of course the baby was hysterical and its not like you were going to give her a hug since he's coated. I was blissfully unaware of this at work fortunately.

While checking the boy's diaper to see if it needed changing, he took the opportunity to pee directly into spouse's face and open mouth. Now that's a disaster.

The worse is when your just finishing whiping and about to put the new diaper with the butt angled up to slide diaper on and the real poop blasts out at high speed followed with wet flappy blast off gas causing bits to fly all over.

Yeah. I'm very grateful for having a large trunk in my car, it's been an emergency baby station on multiple occasions haha.

My toddler likes to give the checkout clerk at stores our credit card to pay to feel like he's helping. Unfortunately he was in a terrible-twos mood the other day and chucked it across the store instead. As luck would have it, it fell into one of those 55-gallon drum-sized clear plastic displays filled with tennis balls. And promptly slid to the bottom. Beneath 400 tennis balls tightly packed together. It took half the store staff, several customers, and their kids to help get it out. I, too, was blissfuly unaware of this due to being at work

Here I am, minding my own business, blasting noobs in World of Tanks, when my almost 2 year old walks up and wants to sit on my lap. I grant his request since he likes to watch me play and grunts with manly pleasure when things blow up. About 15 minutes pass, he gets his fill of destruction, then wanders off to his room.

My leg felt just slightly damp, but I thought it was just the heat from his ass causing a little sweat. I mean, it was a little warm inside at the time. Thought nothing of it... until my 10 year old asks what's all over the baby's butt. "What do you mean?", I ask. "His pants and shirt are all green and brown and wet."

How I didn't smell it, I don't know, because it was foul, and all over the bottom of my shirt, my one pant leg, and it obviously soaked through to my skin. I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose.

Indeed! Having her stay home was the best damn choice ever. I hear stories about how he puked in the car seat on the way home etc and it was like a vomit bomb went off. Glad I was at work that day! Although I got to clean that car seat when I got home =(. Ever take those things apart then put them back together? Good god awwwlmighty it can be a pain.

lucky to say that with 2 kids we've never had a poopy fit-hitting-the-shan situation. They always seem to pee as soon as you open up the diaper though - learned after a few times to open and quickly cover up again.

One time when the older girl was just starting potty training she said she thought she accidentally pooped so I lifted her up above my head to smell if that were the case and then realized she was peeing all over my face.

One time when the younger girl was just starting potty training she wandered into the kitchen wearing nothing but shoes and a sheet of paper stuck to the underside of one of them. Our keen deductive powers determined she had pulled off her clothes, pooped in the playroom, stepped in it, walked to the kitchen and had stepped on a piece of paper on the way.

One time when the younger girl was just starting potty training she started yelling, "Poopy!" which was our cue to bring her to the bathroom and put her on her potty so she could vacate her bowels. While I was preparing the potty and removing her clothing she kept distracting me by slapping me in the face very deliberately when in horror I realized she was yelling to alert us that she had already gone #2 in her pullup and was sticking her hand down the back of it and then slapping whatever was in there on my face.

Good times.

That is why you hold the legs together at the ankles before separating the front from the rear of the diaper when it is loaded up.

My wife and I had twins, so lots of diapers. I used to gross her put by playing poop roulette, where I'd stick my hand in without peeking just to check... My wife was not amused. But I always pretended it was that seen in Flash Gordon where they stich their arm into that rock and hope they chose correctly.





P.s. So happy they're potty trained now...
