You're not supposed to flush baby wipes. They can and will block your system.
He has a separate trash bin for them. Though if it were me I'd prolly accidentally flush them.

Nonsense. Many baby wipes are "flushable" at this point and say so on the box. Been wiping + flushing them for years now and not 1 septic tank or pipe problem. Welcome to the club OP, might have taken you a while to come to the realization but at least you got there.

/shrug go for it. My coworker just had his whole system backed up and he spent a better part of his Saturday 2 weeks ago removing his toilet in the upstairs bathroom to find a baby wipe had gotten lodged in the pipes.
save yourself the paper and get a bidet at home depot
http://www.homedepot.com/Bath-Toile...splay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&storeId=10051
will take you like 20 minutes to install and you'll be cleaner than OPs friend
Clever and super easy to install but would this not be COLD on your ass? Then you still need to dry it. How about the risk of spilling water, shitty water that is, all over? Do you personally use it?
