It's been around that price for awhile, but it's a great case for the money nonetheless.

All the extra features really add up to make a very worthwhile case. The layout is almost perfect, and every concession has been made to make a silent build effortless. Also the positioning of the removable hard drive cages are actually a lot more conducive to proper cooling than the Sonata. Although, the metal and plastic construction is also thinner than normal.

Incidentally, after receiving the case from Amazon.com with the front bezel slightly damaged, a quick e-mail to Antec technical support had a replacement part in my hands within just three days.

I got that case at Amazon for about the same price a while ago. It isn't the best case, but for the price it is an excellent value. I found my SX835II to have nicer build quality, but the 2x120mm fans, smaller size, less weight, and a better removable HDD rack make it a good case. It's great for modding too.

Not to change the topic from your find, but BB is having a good sale right now on your original case the Antec 3700BQE, for $40 after MIR. I just got one, and it's nice, plus it comes with a 350W PS. If you want more details on it, go here:
Antec 3700BQE Thread

Just thought I'd throw this out there for everyone reading.

I agree. I run 2 desktop computers and like to swap parts around frequently. When I bought two of these cases, my life got a whole lot easier. The hard drives mount into a removable cage (that is positioned in front of the intake 120mm fan), and every 5.25" bay device is mounted on rails that are as easy to remove as pressing in two clips on the sides) after unplugging the cables to the drive of course). Even the 3.5" drives are mounted into an easily removable cadge (up two 3.5: drives).

It has a 3-speed (adjustable) top rear 120mm exhaust fan and space for a bottom front 120mm intake fan. With good cable dressing, the airflow in this case is excellent. I added another intake fan in the top 5.25" drive bay to draw in more cool air, which gets push directly towards the power supply at the back of the case. My video cards exhaust to the outside of the case so my case temperatures are great.

I should also mention that there is an adjustable duct from the side of the case that positions directly over your CPU (and fan), that draws air in (or exhausts air) directly to (from) your CPU (a great cooling feature. There are perforations in the side door over the video card area that allows additional venting or intake of outside the case air.

For the price, I haven't found a better case. If you want good airflow, easy to swap drives - all at a reasonable price, then this in the case. If you run more than two desktop systems and swap components around, you HAVE to get these cases.

I bought both of my cases under $50 - shipped. I think I'll pick up another one to build my HTPC in. The case is attractive and all of the HTPC cases I have tried to date have had poor airflow and all have run too hot. This way, I will be able to swap components between all three cases with ease.

In case you can't tell, I am very impressed with these cases. I've paid as low as $20 for a case and as high as $190 for a case (and a few in between), but for price vs. Performance, I've never bought better cases than these.

(edited to add)
read a few of the reviews by others - found at the bottom of the page linked by the OP.

That sucks. And it's been in stock at that price for ages too.

What really clinched the deal for me was free shipping. Especially if you're building a computer for a loved one, and you want the least amount of hassle, then you can't go wrong with the Amazon.com SLK3000B deal... or with powersupply included, the SLK3700BQE deal at Best Buy. It has everything you'd need, without being too fancy or complicated.

And the bad news about cheaper construction actually becomes a plus when not having to lug a massively heavy case around.

I bought this case from Amazon when it was on sale a month or so ago. It is an excellent practical quiet case. Very easy to put the system together. The drive cage is much easier to remove and better designed than my older Antec case, though the construction of the case exterior (plastic) is less substantial than the old thick (heavy) sheet metal. The front & rear 120MM fan mounts (rear fan is included) make for good quiet cooling. My system runs 8F cooler and my CPU runs 12F cooler than with my old 80mm fans - and hugely quieter, though nothing like silent even on low speed. There is an open tube duct on the side of the case that lets the CPU fan suck cooler air directly from the outside, but if you have a noisy CPU fan, that could be troublesome. I would buy this case again, but if I wanted something truly silent I would fork out for the Antec P180 which I think is $80 on FW or Anandtech or some other deal posting.

These cases are often around this price, but it definately bears repeating. Everytime I see a new thread for it, I feel compelled to chime in and say how great this case is! One thing I should mention though, this case is pretty HUGE for a non "server" case. It holds up to 11 drives and has 2 120mm fan holes. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the front door, but I've never like doors on a computer tower anyway.

Just to let everyone know I ordered one from Amazon and although it shows two or three in stock it wasn't going to be shipped out until the end of this week. It was also not scheduled to arrive until the 19th of September. For those interested Provantage.com has them in stock for $30.10. Shipping and tax for MA comes to $16.95, so $47.05 shipped. I bought a NeoPower PSU from them late last week and they shipped it the same day, it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. So if you don't want to wait there is another option. Plus they have 50 something in stock so they won't be running out.

Anyone know the difference between this and the SLK2650-BQE besides the later includes the SL350 power supply? The SLK2650-BQE seems to go onsale at Best Buy (with rebate) for about this price -- the inclusion of a decent power supply is tasty.

Actually, it's onsale now for $69.99 - $30 rebate which expires today. Last time I did this the rebate came within the time frame it specified on the rebate.

The SLK-3000B has an option for a 120mm for front intake, where the SLK2650 only allows for a 92mm. Also, the Side panel of the 3000B has vents where the SLK-2650 doesn't. The "BQE" stands for Black Quiet Edition, and so these models have nice noise saving features like a quiet PSU, quiet fan, and a few noise dampening stuff that the regular ones like the 3000B does not incorporate. They are all pretty similar and nice though.

the SLK-3000B also has more drive bays for internal 3.5" drives and removable hard drive cage (A big plus imo)
