...not sure if i got the right ASUS Strix GTX 980ti

Mine says DC3-6GD5

and i found another after i bought that reads DC3OC-6GD5

Are there two Strix versions??? I really want the Titan X killing performance i saw in reviews so if i get a lesser version i'll be pissed. Nvidia experts please help.
The 390x is gone to help pay for 980ti, hope that's not a dumb decision

Looks like there are two versions:

The only difference I see is that one comes factory overclocked. The real question is whether the "OC" version is factory binned to allow better OC or not.

I'd try poking around to find a review of the non "OC" version to see how well it OCs.

And i thought i was getting it for a great price lol.

About the reviews, i can't find any so OC might or might not be special

You could always just get/find the BIOS from the OC model, and flash it to yours. Just make sure to save the OEM BIOS in case for warranty.
You can also check the ASIC quality using GPU-Z, although, I'm not sure how accurate it is.
It states 73% on my EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX2.0+.

I had the bios flash in mind Beer4Me but thanks anyways. Its always risky but worth it. The card gets here after tomorrow and I'll see how far i can push it
