Does anyone know if the new ones are in the stores yet? And if they are, how can we tell if they are the new version instead of the old version?

On the back of the box, there should be a v2 printed next to the barcode (according to dvdtalk.com forums). Also, the cropping will be fixed. If anyone's going to buy this from amazon, please Share the Love with josephfowble(at)hotmail.com

Yeah, Universal will be doing this replacement for a while, based on past ones. The Jurassic Park DTS swap started a few months after it came out, and is still going.
