Backed into a tree and damaged bumper, taillight, and fender on my civic

i drive an 02 civic and backed into a tree... i'm guessing the estimates to fix this will be at least $1500. Realistically i think it will be around $2000.

Do you guys think I should pay all that money to fix it or go through insurance and pay the $500 deductible? I've never been at fault for an accident so i'm worried about how it will impact my rates. I'm over 25 btw with clean history.

See if your insurance has an accident forgiveness thing.

If not, just ask them how much your rate will increase multiply by how long vs how much you pay now.
