Yay Cadillac. And that Infiniti looks like crap anyway. I'll take a "V" version please.

I always thought the G37 series coupes looked great...but obviously that is subjective. I like the CTS, and especially the CTS-V and wagon...but I just can't warm up to the CTS coupe...just looks wrong to me...way too big a butt for such a large vehicle. Makes it look tank like...which is not the look I'd be going for when I'm thinking sporty 2-door.

CTS Coupe and CTS are both disgusting.

I find myself admiring the aging STS on the road, sadly, while being D: D: D: @ CTS.

That G coupe is so much better looking, it's not even close.

I like the CTS-V, but this coupe thing looks like garbage.

i've seen so many G35/37's that the CTS coupe is a welcome sight. quite refreshing.

I think it's not the rear so much as the rear quarter panel. That thing is one huge unbroken expanse of sheet metal, and from many angles it appears to be almost entirely flat. A bit of a tuck here or a crease there would go a long way to breaking it up and not making it seem so huge. And it wouldn't have an effect on interior volume either.

^^

That.

I thought the IS-C was fugly, but jeeeez. The Pontiac Aztec designer must have snuck in and changed the plans right before they got sent to production.

The CTS is a great car, but ugly-fast IMHO. The new Lincolns aren't that great in the looks department either. Wish they never EOLed the LS

The LS was too small. Lincolns and Cadillacs should be big comfortable vehicles. The CTS Coupe is not a sporty vehicle nor should it be compared to one, it's a large coupe. Either you like that or you don't. Personally I do, and I wish there were more options in that space.

(My car is almost identical to this one, just different wheels)

Infinitis all look so generic and blobby these days. Whatever happened to cleanly styled edgy Infinitis and Nissans?

The M45 was designed with help from Porsche!

Porsche helping others design cars... that's rather laughable.

The results look pretty awesome to me. Now Nissan has the same boring guy in a tie design every one of their vehicles, so now they're all blobby arch roofed boring sedans. Even the SUVs are arch roofed boring sedans.

It looks to me as though Porsche sabotaged the competition there. What an ugly car!

CTS is sexy. Love the new coupe styling. I like the big rear end, distinctive and adds space.

Who cares if it is big? As long as it is beautiful and powerful like it is, I'm happy.

How is it ugly? It's a cleanly styled sedan that looks like a sedan, vs a sedan trying to look like a sports car. How many modern cars still have the long horizontal hood, vertical grill, straight roofline, and long trunk? Almost none, they've all turned into bubble roofed blobs.

Wait, you're saying they look generic now and that the M45 you put a pic of doesn't? That looks very bland and generic.

I liked Inifiniti's styling for about 5 years when they just had their breakthrough til the last couple when they're just going over the top (the M45 looks overstyled now, as does many of Infiniti's other cars). A lot of companies are doing this these days, which is annoying (Mazda is another, BMW as well).

With the exception of their own cars, Porsche's engineering/design stuff is at best horribly overpriced and laughably bad sometimes (see the junk merchandise like sleds and stuff that they sell).

Don't forget, Pininfarina and Italdesign-Guigiario designed tons of bland boring little economy cars. A lot of companies seem to have realized that they could actually do better designs themselves which would be cheaper in the long run (if not also the short run). It was horrible, and they were doing it so they could market that the car was designed by them but the car looked bad. I wouldn't be surprised to find that those other companies were half-assing the designs on purpose either.

I actually like the CTS Coupe, but its not one of my favorite cars and I don't think I'd buy it over the sedan. Its styling will be polarizing, but that will be a key to its success as it looks quite a bit different from other coupes.

Compare it to other cars of the late 90s and early 00s. They were blobs with mushy organic styling, while the M45 was reviving clean straight lines.

The M45 is overstyled now, but the previous generation just looked like a Maxima with big headlights. The Passat knockoff arch roof is what kills me. Every damn car has that roofline now, along with the stubby angled down hood and short trunk.

I actually noticed today that the Porsche Boxter convertible looks very similar to the 350Z convertible.

I don't really think the CTS looks all that bad! At least it's a car you spot and say "There's a CTS" and not "well, it looks like a Nissan from here..oh wait. No. It's a Hyundai".
But...you could also do that with an Aztek

I like the looks of the latest CTS coupe/sedan. I agree with MT though on the Infiniti cars in that they are starting to get a little too "bubbly" and starting to look frumpy.
