Hey guys I have a question to ask about what to do for this fresh install. bear with me now. I have currently installed windows vista home prem dual booting with ubuntu 7.10 gutsy (which runs wonderfully might i add). My vista partition has somehow slowed down noticeably and i want to do a fresh install to get rid of some old stuff thats lying around that i dont need. my question is that i have three games currently installed. Halo 2 (this one doesnt matter too much because i have the CD to reinstall), Half Life 2 (this one matters), and World of Warcraft (this one matters too). I dont really have the CD for half life 2 or world of warcraft so im wondering how i can back up the game and save data and just move it to the fresh install once i do so, so taht i can just run it in the fresh install. is this asking too much or what? what can i use to back up and then add the games to the fresh install? will it work? forgot to say that i would be deleting the gutsy partition 2 so i will be wiping the whole hard drive. i havent installed anything on gutsy or customized too much yet so it wont matter. I have two things i can backup to. I have a second IDE hard drive of 10GB capacity and some 4.7GB DVD's laying around that i can use. thanks for any help!
