Backup / Image software

Hi,

I have just finished building a new PC, amongst others with a 2x236 GB =472 GB RAID-0 C-drive.
I will be installing XP32 and a few applications on this, and will thereafter use the diskspace for videoediting and TV recordings etc.
The installation it self should not be more than a couple of GB, so it would fit on a DVD.

I have once before had a problem with a striping array that went bad, and thus want to be prepared.

In order to have easy access to a clean reinstallation I would like to make a backup image of the XP installation with all the updated drivers, and clean registry installation with the essential programs, but excluding selected data sets which are huge in volume, and expendable.
Obvioustly I do not want to do an image of the full disk as I would have no where to put it...

Which software would be best for the above job?

I know of two Image applications:

• Symantec Ghost
  Casper XP 3.0

Will any of these two be able to do the above described backup / restore?

Any recommendations?
