When it comes to beer I'll try anything. I also like most everything Rogue makes, so I'd definitely give this a shot.

I like Rogue, but some of their stuff is more gimmicky than a beer you'd actually want to drink. They had an oyster stout last winter. I mean, OK, I guess if you're eating oysters and you want to pair it with a stout, but who wants to drink oyster beer? That's just bizarre.

I actually had a oyster stout the other night (by Yards though, not Rogue). It was actually really good -- definitely didn't get the oyster flavor.

I've had it and it's terrible. This is coming from a guy who likes almost anything bacon-related, and anything beer-related. There are actual bacon bits in the beer, which you would think would be amazing, but all it tastes like is artificial smoke flavoring. It actually gave me a headache after just a few sips, and I ended up pouring most of the bottle out. Shame, because I really like Rogue's Chipotle Ale and Chocolate Stout.

BTW, while we're on gimmicky beers, if you ever see a beer called "Kelpie Seaweed Ale," BUY IT! It sounds weird, but it is delicious! Actually tastes rather like a chocolate stout, and the only seaweed flavor you experience if when you burp it back up.

Bought a few bottles of this beer. It is an okay beer, nice to have a few bottles around for "here try this oddball" moments with friends. That said, would recommend anyone wanting to try this to only buy one bottle of it.
