Bad Company 2 looks like total shiate

I am on Win7 and i have a GTX 275, i also just got the latest 257.21 drivers.

BF:BC 2 looks like total shiate since i cannot enable transparency antialiasing AT ALL.

This is puzzling since i can enable transparency AA in old games like WoW or HL2 without a problem with significant image improvements.

In BF:BC2 its so bad that you cannot even recognize an enemy in the distance because of all the jaggies - worse even if you move around in the game.

Obviously, the only "solution" (haha) is to get a GTX 480 which supports DX11....but then i wonder why i can enable TRAA in other games with my GTX275. I am pretty ****ed and feel like i wasted money because the JAGGIES looking so bad.

Seriously, the game doesn't look that bad. Quit blaming any aliasing for your crappy play.

You dont think its odd that a pretty recent game cannot do TRAA at all on a GTX275? While a 5 year old engine like from HL2 can do it without problems?

My point is that if some how AA is the difference between you playing well and not playing well, then you're doing it wrong.

Hopefully someone can help you out with your Nvidia problems because this is the most incredible looking game to this date.

While the OP is just slow this is far from the best looking game to date and I run it with everything turned up.

This game does have shit for AA. And at first it was tough to tell enemies from some random jaggy in the background.

The graphics are not BF: BC2's strong point in my opinion. It doesn't look like shit, but it doesn't look gorgeous either.

The destructible buildings and environment on the other hand...

I have no jaggies whatsoever AND i have antialiasin as well?? whats the problem?? goolge gossmans bc2 launcher and FORCE DX10. it sounds to me like yours is defaulting to DX9 for some reason. with my 2XGTX260's the game looks great no jaggies nothing and I can see enemies in the distance

Ran BC2 @ 60+ FPS with a GTX 480... all settings including CSAA maxed out at 1920x1200.

It looked... fine... but not incredible. I still think 3 year old Crysis looks better.

I don't notice ANY jaggies, even with AA off. You must be playing at 640x480 or something. lols

nope, playing 1680 as always. Will look for that gossman launcher, maybe it improves the AA. thx.

No one said it looked horrible but some people say it's the best looking game to date which is entirely not true. Also jaggies are huge. Only 8xAA makes any big noticeable difference. 2x and 4x barely do anything.
