True that.
All this BS about eating before bed and such. It's all about calories in/out. If i work off 2300 calories a day, and eat back the 2300 calories right back before bed, then I wont gain any more weight than I did if i ate it over time. Period. Remember this is all after your metabolism, etc.
This is especially true when you have a weightlifting regimen like myself, at night I like to get some slow digesting protein (casein) in me. I usually have a cup or two of fat free cottage cheese to accomplish this so my muscles will slowly repair themselves while I rest.
There's nothing wrong with eating before bed, so long as you keep the portions fine and you don't binge eat. If you binge eat right before bed, it's often a sign of a lack of something. Say you don't get any, or close to any, fats or sugars during the day. At the end of the day you might have a craving for ice cream...this is why. (fruit is often a good substitute for this)
I could go on and on, but put simply; eat when you're hungry and avoid skipping meals because thats the worst thing you can do if you want to be healthy.
