Bush is ultimimately to blame for the SLOW progress of this incurrsilon into Afghanistan.

Rumsfeld was furious when Binny was in their sights - Colin Powell nixed eliminating Binny.

Bush has followed too much of Powell's advice.
This is most evident by comments by Chirac of France and Blair of England.
What is more evident is England's ACTION to put troops on the ground.

I just now learned that the Northern Alliance leader that was hanged and his dead body riddled by bullets by the Taliban - It was 5 hours from when he called for help to when he was captured.

Did our govt. prefer that he was eliminated?

You can't fight an effective war if you're more concern about not hurting the civilians (of the opposing warring state), try to please all the neighbors of that nation that you're fighting with or get caught up worrying about the potential future of that said nation you're in the war with. Not to mention that our gov't gave them not so small amount of $$$ to stop from growing drugs (which they never stop doing) and spend a god damn fortune trying to feed the people of that rat infested nation because they might go hungry even when majority of them seems to hate us none the less. Stop giving them the $$ to buy weapons to attack anyone. When they're in the verge of starving to death maybe they'll decide to spend the last $$ on food than weapon. (probably not) You're main concern should be the fate of your people both civilians and member of the arm services. Period. Search and totally annihilate your enemy then worry about their potential future, if any.
