I agree with getting Anand to write something about distributed computing. I think if we all write an email to Anand it will get noticed and he very well might do something about it. I for one just started coming to the forums this month but have been reading Anandtech for about 2 years. I think it is time for us to get off of our butts and write Anand an email. I will also be posting this as a new thread. I hope it gets some attention.

Yeah, I too mostly lurked until recently. Now I am ramping up my efforts. If I had an audience as large as this Site/BBS, I would use it to make it more popular by getting my name to the top of all Distributed stats.

What would it take for us to overcome /. in OGR25 as well. Imagine if we could knock them down on RC5 and OGR on the same day.

That would hurt!

hehehe I have big School district to assimilate!!!

the school district has over 1000 computers (all new and 350 and above) but I can only assimalate computers from schools that I have gone to and have permission, I hope to assimilate North Salem High School (where ViRGE goes and where I designed the website might I add http://north.salkeiz.k12.or.us)

they have a good 100 student machines that I have access to, and where I currently go to school (the 48 machines that I am currently assimilating) the 21st Century Community Schoolhouse http://www.communityschoolhouse.org.

What we need are a few more "gardens". Alot of you guys are at high schools that have a bunch of imacs and G3's. These are very fast and 30 or so can do alot of damage. Assimilate as many of these as you can, if you need help i listed some tips that I used to get some of em cracking at my old high school.
