There are two possibilities here.
#1- You have a jumper on your motherboard that allows you to select either a 100MHz or 133MHz bus. Yours is set to 100MHz. Your 2400+ processor uses the 133MHz bus. While using the 100MHz bus, you are underclocking it. It is running more slowly than it is supposed to. You need to set the jumper to 133MHz, so that it runs at 2400+ instead of 1800+.
