Bad PSU? Or something else?

So my computer was working fine last night and then I shut it down. When I woke up this morning and turned it on the monitor light stays orange and I get no POST beep.

I opened the case all the fans are spinning and then I tried opening my dvd drives and only 1 opens which leads me to believe the PSU is going out. The power light on the case is on and the HDD light is blinking like it always has. I tried unplugging my other HDD and my DVD drives and still the same result.

Is there anything else I should check before I order another PSU?

EDIT:

Nevermind I got it working again. I reset the CMOS and it boots..any idea what would have caused that type of problem? The computer was running fine and all I did was shut it down.

You may have a short in your case. Could also be you had a power outage and thats what caused it? Very strange. I would see if it happens again soon and then diagnose from there.

Sometimes pc get , for lack of a better word, quirks that flip bits in things like the bios that makes them act strange. This often happens with pc and sleep modes. The easiest thing you can do when it does something like that is unplug it, wait about a minute and plug it back in. I have run across several pc that appear to have hardware issues, but unplugging and re-plugging solves it.

+1
I also suggest removing the battery for a good hour even, unplug the PC and install the Clear CMOS jumper(some newer boards don't have a jumper any more).
