ok so i just got a pretty sweet new build, and things went fine for awhile until during videogames, it would freeze and flicker to a black screen. i started to smash alt+tab and ctrl+alt+del until it came to, and it did recover without shutting it down. my first thought was overheating. i have a GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) and i have seen various complaints of heat issues. anywho things got really interesting when "nv4_disp" stopped running and threw everything into well see for yourself http://steakman.net/nv4_disp.JPG ok simple enough, update the nvidia drivers. did that and now during games, this happens... http://steakman.net/brokencss.jpg and http://steakman.net/brokenbf2142.jpg all the textures are screwed up beyond belif, but alt tabbing (which takes unusually long) and re entering the game fixes the problem, until it happens again. i was thinking that my next step should be to update the bios.... any other thoughts before i give up and RMA this card to newegg?
