Bags of Chips and Trail Mix

Why must they fill the bag with 3/4 of air? Well, I know WHY they do it but why are they still getting away with it?!?! ARGH!!!

Satisfication, customer service, solid products...where did it all go??

if they did not fill the chip bags with air, you would be eating dust after they all got crushed in shipment. The air provides cushioning for chips.

Yes, air is important but not that much is needed.

The bag of trail-mix I got from our vending machine is clear at the bottom so you can see what's in it but the rest of the bag is yellow 'n orange. Mr. Nature is the company for anyone (which is nobody) who cares. Funny thing though, that when you open the bag...the product is just above the yellow coating. So, they don't use air for cushion and they use they cover the bag so you can't see you're getting screwed.

You can't see the net weight in the vending machines so my claim DOES have merit.

Anyway, the point is you know the bag is 1/2-3/4 full of air before you even buy it. This doesn't bother anyone else? Slaves to corporate law I suppose

Let me guess, "If it bothers you, don't buy it." Didn't want a candy bar and there aren't any other choices

you are correct on the trail mix thing snoogans, (okay, yeah, I feel weird calling you that), some of the quantities in those kinds of items are pretty pathetic.

Air in inflatable bags always look bigger, don't they?

They also use the air as a cushion, so the average nonsense consumer doesn't feel the product and crush it.

Forget the air, check the ingredients.
