Worked for me. I had the same problem early this month. I ended up getting the tire off by kicking the hell out of it.

Real good for the hub when it slams into the ground also...

Try a small propane torch around the lug pattern then hit it with a sledge ..

I like the torch idea. I have a butane torch/soldering iron that was $20 at Radio Shack. Lost the soldering head though .

if you think its frozen,

boil some water, pour it..

that should work.

it worked when my door was frozen shut.

I got a flat a couple months ago and my steel wheel was rusted to my new rotors.
I had to kick the sh!t out of the wheel to get it off. I was worried the jack would fall off and make the car fall, but it didn't.

why would you take the tire off the car? wouldn't you take the wheel off with the tire still attached?

Well people refer to the task as "changing a tire" instead of "changing a wheel".. so it's pretty understandable that someone would say that.

Make sure you are using a jack

Also, do you have wheel locks ? If yes, did you remember to take it off ?

here's the winner put lug nuts on so they are just slightly loose small gap and drive a few feet and that should loosen it up, if not drive a few more.
