I have been looking at several types of RAM what is available for me to buy and what should work good with a ryzen 1600.
The ram is :
Crucial ballistix elite 3200 BLE2C4G4D32AEEA.
2 x 4GB.
I checked if the memory is compatible with the ASROCK AB350M:

It is.
It has samsung chips on it : Samsung K4A4G085WE BCPB
I looked the datasheet up and it seems these are E dies.
But since agesa 1006 this memory should be fine i hope.
There is only one issue and that is the height of the module.
The cooler i have is a low profile but wide version and the ram might not fit under it.
But there seems to be a solution:

I looked for instruction manuals but i have not found any yet about removing the top rail from the ram module.
It seems the top rail is just screwed on the heatsink of module it self and the heatsink will remain in place even after removing the top rail. It is more for show than function.
Has anybody tried to take the top rail off ?
That would really help me out if that can be done.

The real reason we are talking about the Ballistix Sport DDR4 though is due to the fact we wanted to show you the visual difference between the two colors. Obviously the heat spreaders are totally different, but so is the module height. The Ballistix Sport DDR4 stands 31.15mm and the Ballistix Elite DDR4 stands 40.75mm in height when both are measures at the middle of the module. This 9.6mm difference is fairly minor, but you can unscrew and remove the top rail on the Ballistix Elite DDR4 and bring the overall height down to 32.4mm if you needed to clear a CPU cooler or something like that in your case.
