AUBURN, AL (WAFF) - According to sister station WTVM an arrest has been made in the Toomer's Corner Oak tree poisoning case.

62-year-old Harvey Almorn Updyke from Dadeville was charged with criminal mischief. His bond is set at $50,000.

This story reminds me of high school, where a group of seniors a class ahead of us thought it'd be funny to chop down a few trees that were planted in memory of some students and faculty who'd died.

I don't think they ever found out who did it, but that whole class was basically bent over for the actions of those few (no prom, homecoming, etc.).

Some people just really weren't meant to be alive.

Quick update

Rumor is they've made an arrest or at least have someone in questioning.

Due to some heavy rains in the area, there's concern that that the herbicide might spread through the soil and affect vegetation for a few blocks around. Won't be cheap to fix that.
