AHHH, I guess you go for the "break from reality" "I don't want to deal with real-life stuff" kind of movies. No wonder you don't like moveis that actually take a brain to watch. Band of Brothers is a pure war movie, about as realistic as you can get. It's almost as if you are RIGHT there with them.

It never started But from people who have actually been in the military (and for people who the mini-series is actually based on), they have said it is beyond phenominal and simply TRUE TO LIFE.

Seriously though, you must be the FIRST person I have ever talked to that DOESN'T like the movie. I mean, it's kind of hard to dislike a movie that is basically a 99% retelling of what happened in history.

I know he doesn't, but he had a large hand in creating it.

Just because it has a high rating somewhere doesn't mean I should or will like it. Look at The Godfather. Most people consider it one of the best ever. I wouldn't watch it if I someone gave it to me.

BoB was incredible, I've watched the entire series 6-7 times. I do like the first few episodes the best, the ones where Winters is in command of Easy. Once he gets promoted out it just isn't the same.

Amish, they rent it in parts at blockbuster....just go rent the first 2, if you dont feel like watching the rest...thats your opinion. IMO it is the best series ever, and I think you will enjoy it...just give it a shot

they rent it on 5 discs total, 2 parts per disc, so it would only be $5 to see the first 2

Ive only rented the first two episodes but it was good. However I still think Winds of War was a great mini series and would be more inclined to buy it than the Band of Brothers.

1.) Because they do it in such a passive-agressive way, that they demean the other person.... As if they are "better" than the people with whom their opinions disagree. (i.e. Instead of insulting the person directly, they insult what that person likes, or is doing... Therefore, basically saying that you must be below them, to have a differing opinion.) It's human nature to stick up for yourself when being insulted like that, even when you know it's just bait.
2.) Nope... But I think I'll pick it up after I've finished watching the series.

imo the first two eps were the two worst (they are all good tho)... so if you don't already love it, at least watch the next two.

anyhow i liked judge dredd but i can't imagine putting that over a movie like BoB. they're just like in two different leagues...
