Ehhh. Didn't take alot of work. But since some said their lyrics were great I had to look. All it took was a quick google search and a perusal of the lyrics for confirmation.

Ugh...Worst excuse for Heavy Metal IMO. There are numerous bands that put the point across much more efficiently. (lyrically and musically)

Just the band??? Have you tried to even watch the show. I turned it on last night to a "someone" the perve. @ brothers that were working for victoria's secrete and it was so god awful I didnt even bother to watch any more of it.

Yes, I agree. Some people listen to System of a Down because they are popular as well...

I haven't even watched SNL in a long time. This was the first time in over a year. I sat through it and it was as bad as I remember seeing it last time. If I hadn't been sitting in a hospital room with my wife I wouldn't have even watched it. There was nothing else on on the limited channel selection however.

SOAD, although not for everyonen, is one of the most original and talented bands still around today.

wow, another semi-inflammatory thread from a conservative about the crazy liberals in rock bands. don't know who that band was that performed on SNL, despite the fact that you watched atleast a fair portion of the show in which the band wa announced multiple times? bullsh*t. My bet is the OP feels some twisted superiority over SOAD-listeners by claiming ignorance of the band.

B.Y.O.B. impresses me because the song acknowledges the extremity of the some of the band's views. the chorus paints a picture of an ideal Iraq previous to the USA invasion, but the music is overtly poppy and cheerful, parodying the lyrics. smart and inventive band, i guess some miss the point.
