Bang and Olufsen 5000 stereo system

I have this old system in my garage. It has a CD player in it. Does anyone know if these things are worth much? It is not working, but looks to be in pretty good condition. Anyone know?

i woudl suggest taking it into a local audio shop and see if they will fix it or buy it off you for parts

On a side note, my Aunt has the 3500. However, she uses the receiver, and the tape player. They opted for some ghey little CD changer (think car cd changer, but with B&O on it, and way overpriced).

To make up for that little bit of gheyness tho, they opted for the 5-foot Penta speakers.

Sh1t just sounds amazing.

That sh!t was great, but your best bet is to ask a local audio store to check their blue book. by now, I don't know who you would sell it to. try audiogon?

oh, hehe...not working. good luck with that, unless it's a simple fix, B&O repairs rape you. hopefully the other components still work.

B&O is the ultimate in luxury! Allthough that is a bit eighties they have a sweet design. They're actually danish.
