On September 9, I deposited two checks over the counter in the amount of $600.00. Everything seems normal so I pocketed my deposit slip.

On September 11, I checked my online banking and nothing shows up. :| WTF Where the hell is my money!!! Called CSR and was on hold for the longest time. After the wait, a CSR came on and said the check might not have cleared so I decided to give it a couple more days for the check to clear.

September 13, nothing showed

September 15, nothing again :|

September 17, I checked with the person who wrote me the check and ask if the check ever cleared and was told the check cleared on September 10. WTF is wrong here?

September 18, went into a branch office and asked where the hell is my money? Front counter dude had no idea as I showed him my deposit slip so he transfered me to an Account manager where she called the main office for an investigation. She then ask me for proof of deposit, at this point I was extremely pissed and told her its on your freakin table <----she had my slip laid face down on her table. :| At the end, all she said was I'm sorry, we normally gets of paperwork each day and it might have gotten lost. WTF? If I had not checked, I would have lost my money due to careless fVcktards. :| I told her I'll cancel all my accounts ASAP. Guess she didnt give a damn. :| and I let these idiots handle my Master relations account !!

They use my money to invest and pays me back a higher interest rate, Min. Account balance is 25K, I'll move all my money out of their freakin system once I decided which bank to join.

Everyone hates a certain bank or corporation.

But I can say in all honesty that Bank of America does indeed suck.

They screwed up my wife's credit card, hopefully they'll fix it the second time around.

That's for their shady Mutual Fund practices.

Or rather, allegations of after-hours trading. They're being investigated but they haven't been caught.

But not their Home Loan centers. Our mortage officer was a complete moron. She was the one who did all the FHA loans and I kept having to look up FHA regulations myself on line and email them to her when she didn't have a clue how things worked.

I had BofA when i was living in So. Cal. I friggin hated them with a passion. They screwed up everything they possibly could. Don't they even charge you to see a teller?

The same thing happened with me when I opened an account there. my deposit was 1k and it didnt clear and post to my account until 16 days after the date of deposit. I wrote a note against the balance that I THOUGHT was there and it bounced.

man I was sooo pissed.

Yes they charge you a $3 service fee/visit if you go more than 3 times per month. In addition, their checking acount requires min balance of $1,000 which is insanely high.

Have a Prima checking account with them. No restrictions on teller visits here. I don't particularly hate or like them. I just think it's convinent because they have a branch just about everywhere.

Same here. Wife is actually still on payroll there, even tho she hasn't worked there since january. We got a discount on our mortgage, as well as $5000 towards it from them, her employee CC is 4.9%, and we REALLY like their online banking.

I personally love B of A. I joined like 6 years ago and have had no problems with them ever. I use their "pay if you see a teller" checking account but I have never actually been charged for the like 20 times I have talked to a teller, they always wave it for me, and the account does not have a min balance. I use their online banking all the time and pay my CC that way, would also work nicely for bills but I don't have enough to really set it up. Anyway, thats my $.02

Known fact that BofA checking sucks and that their in-branch customer service is the worst.

Known fact that Wamu's mortgage loan origination service is terrible (actual customer quote "Yeah, we've only been in process for 6 months, we expect to close anyday now" )

Pirate Speak:

Ahoy, me like Flagstar Bank, based outta Jackson, Mi. I think they're only located in the upper midwest. They ne'er charge me for anythin'; cashier's checks, account searches, though this could be just the branch Me set my account up at. Flagstar's intarst bearin' checkin' account used t' pay 3.5% in 1998 and you only have t' carry a $1,000 balance. Now tis' 1.25% but that's still decent. Aye.

edit: at my branch, an Account Representitive comes to you and leads you to one of their 8x8 rooms. You sit on the other side of their desk and do your banking.
