Barbara Olsen RIP

She will be missed by more than just her husband and family. She was at least able to have last words with her husband before her hijacked plane was flown into the WTC or pentagon. I am still dealing with reports, flipping channels to get the latest.


My God have mercy on those responsible for her death. I wouldn't!

Her plane did go into the Pentagon... Also, her last name is spelled Olson. Only reported on CNN as far as I know... No link, yet.

They reported on CNN that she was able to make a phone call on her cell to her husband before the plane crashed into the Pentagon... She described that there were multiple terrorists on the plane, and they used knives and cardboard box cutters to hijack the plane and then herded the people to the back of the plane (pilots might have been included)...

Of course I feel for everyone involved. We have not heard from my Brother in Law whose office is on Wall street. There are plenty of people affected by this cowardly act,but this was a name and a face I recognized as someone who was directly affected and was publishedeverywhere but here.

Is she the one who is married to a police officer here in Fort Myers, Fl. She called her husband and told him she thought her plane had been hijacked and that she loved him. That is so sad. They have 4 children.

This attack is the only one of it's kind in world history. Historically, hijackings usually end up being hostage situations, and in those cases, it's definitely best for the passengers to sit tight.

Had the passengers onboard known that their flights were to be used as suicide weapons to kill thousands of other people, they would have undoubtedly mobbed the attackers regardless of the outcome.

That's righ outer square. Most hostage situations end with the release of hostages. It's usually to make a point or used for ransom. Therefore, it's better for them to sit tight. Just as police officers suggest you to not attack a robber because your money is cheaper than your life, these people most likely did not move. The victims on the plane had no idea that they were not to live, which is a tragic ending
