I'm seeing two versions of the 1800+ model at their website. One with the PC Chips 830LR and the other with a ECS K7S5A motherboard. Both are the same price -- $116.95.

Im from chicago and I have bought 3 system from them before and picked them up personally, and the 830lr MB is either same as ECS k7s5a. same build different name as i was told specs are same check it out ! I its even a better deal for out of state pplz NO TAX , not for me link link

the feedback on reseller ratings is really scary to read...i am tempted to jump in ..i am gonna pick up two if i do go ahead to order. I hope more members who dealt with this company will post their views.

I don't like that shipping disclaimer. To me, that says they could stick a DOA MB in there for every 3 good ones, and there's nothing I could do about it. Sounds like russian roulette to me.

One idea I had was asking them to keep the case and PS, I just want the MB and CPU, should let the shipping be lower, I wonder if they'll go for that.

Plus, when you factor in the $28 shipping, it comes close to the other deals on Pricewatch, with real, insured shipping. It's your $145, spend it or lose it.

Sometimes on pre-built PCs, fans like the Volcano 7 are heavy - and likely to break in transit. The entire system usually needs to be reshipped (or you'll more likely void warranties by replacing these things on your own).

I recommend reading the Thread on Access Micro. They have a rebate for $25 on a designer case (Ahanis Noblesse Black w/ Blue Mirror) - in both 400Watt and 350Watt configs to support any speed cpu/motherboard/card,peripheral bundle you throw in there.

Everything customizable. Cheap to buy system here than to get all the parts separately from the cheapest vendors from Price Grabber.

Waiting for my system to come in, in a few days...

You can get a SHUTTLE AK32L KT266 266MHz FSB AMD Socket A ATX MOTHERBOARD - RETAIL $49($8) shipping from newegg and $67 for a xp 1600(free shipping) from newegg
for a total of $124 if you're only looking for those parts.

Or order the cpu form newegg and the mb from comgeeks at the abit Kg7 for $35 + 6 shipping thread for 67 + 41 = $108

Compgeeks also has a silver 350 watt case and powersupply for $27.95 + $5 more shipping if you are ordering the motherboard and it together.

Only problem is that you will have to assemble the case + motherboard yourself.
