Barebones for mom

I need to get a barebones system for my mom. What is a good ecompany to get cheap barbones systems from?

Are you looking for something particular? Like size, cpu brand?
Here are some small barbones from newegg.
z-buy has some good setups for good cost, as does mwave.

Newegg, z-buy.com, and mwave.com usually have good prices on anything and fast shipping.

If you need bare bones then get something like a Duron 800. I'm assuming that your mom wont be doing much more than surfing the web, using email, and maybe some word processing on the side. You don't need a 1GHz+ CPU for that. Even a Duron 600 would be more than enough.

She does some image stuff too, with adobe and Bryce.

Check out Global's site, you can get a P-4 1.4 system for $629.

This does not include a monitor, so you will have to add for that.

If she's working with Bryce, better get a fast cpu and at least 512 MB ram.

You can save on the video card since no gaming is involved. A Voodoo3 3000 has fabulous 2D; indeed, you could get the V3 2000.

You probably have a fast, powerful system, right? Give that one to her, and get the bare bones system for yourself! The woman gave birth to you, man! (And capitalize Mom, dammit!)

Oh, and these are three words that should never inhabit the same sentence -- bare, bones, and Mom!
