barebones laptop

Is anyone aware of somewhere that would allow for purchasing a "barebones" laptop?(i.e. no ram, no hard disk, no OS)

I have an SSD already that i plan to reuse in a new laptop for my dad, and would like to purchase a laptop that i can reuse my existing parts with? Also i have a license for win7/10 already so i don't need an OS either.

Is it possible to get something like this to save some cash, or have more of the purchase price invested in the processor, screen, chassis, etc...?

there are barebones laptops available on ebay, used.

it's also possible to buy clevo bare-bones with desktop CPUs new, though you probably won't save any money over buying a complete system on sale.

Currently on sale for $250, replace mechanical HD with a cheap SSD and you have a pretty good deal.
