Where? Is this all stores? Or just at the ones that are opening?
I checked their web site, and they do have some sales for the period of May 17-19, but none of the really great deals listed, like the CD-ROM for $9.99.

Would like to know if this applies to the Boston, MA, store, before I drive an hour for a non-existant CD-ROM on sale. (Would call, but I've heard you should not, from this forum. Is that still a bad idea, for an advertised sale?)

Also, is that price after a rebate of some sort?

Very insightful Nef, RGN. Let's see what palm OS device we can get for '2 bills or less': The Sony Clie PEG-S360 lists for exactly $199.99 on Sony's site, and features a mind blowing 160x160 monochrome resolution with 16 megs of memory. This runs on a speedy 33Mhz dragonball processor. It does not come with a docking cradle.

I'm not saying that palm OS devices suck, or that there is no use for them. I was merely pointing out that at $200, you get a lot of power with the Journada.

Obviously you've never owned that model of jornada because there is very little power there. sure, on paper it blows away any palm out there but in reality its a dog. Its very very VERY slow, its memory should be higher, it doesnt use the arm processor so you're limited on newer software, the screen sucks and it weighs a ton. I've switched to PPC for a while but if given a choice between that model PPC and the Sony Clie you mentioned there then I'd pick the Clie. Most people I know with that jornada either return it or keep it in a drawer.

Sale was today. Parking lot looked like Best Buy after Thanksgiving.

I got in, picked up 3 of the wireless pcmcia cards for $39.99 with a $30.00 MIR, making the cards 10 bucks a pop. Also picked up a dlink access point and 24 x burner.

A good haul.

$200 for a non pocketpc 2002 compliant PDA, that is being dropped by its parent company is not a hot deal. ipaq 3135 for like $120 or so on ebay is a better deal. granted the 3135 isnt color, but the jornada 548 is like half the speed of the 3135 .

PS It appears that some people just like to post things to have a pissing contest, see many of the Jornada vs Clie comments. I always appreciate the informative replies, not the tirades. BTW my Dad can beat up your Dad.
