Yeah pretty much. There have been countless names leaked that have admitted to taking steroids, many of whom have lied on front of Congress themselves, but none of them were chasing a HR record, or had the attitude of Bonds..

If Balco administered it, it's yet another piece of evidence to show that he was so knee deep in Conte's program that it's implausible to think he didn't know what was going on. Even better if there's a record of him signing consent for such a test.

Well I'm a Giants fan and have never been a Bonds fan, but I'm not a Bonds-hater. I'm glad to see this and am interested to see what will come of it. I think 30 years in jail is excessive, but I do hope he gets jail time, along with the other people who've cheated and lied. It would prove that nobody is above the law because too often do we see athletes with violent charges brought against them and nothing happens to them.

I agree. I really don't think he'll be a first ballet HOF just b/c the writers will want to make a point. In my opinion though, if he isn't proven guilty of anything they should put him in first time.

Also, people are so quick to jump on the "I hate Bonds" bandwagon without any real proof. I think it's just because the guy is such an arrogant ass. If he had the attitude of a guy like Chipper Jones, David Oritz, or at least came across friendly it might be a slightly different story.

If all of these charges and allegations are proven to be true, no freakin' way he makes it into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot. They didn't let Mark McGwire in just because of steroid allegations, and people actually like him.

There is someone clueless in this thread, and it's not the people criticizing Bonds.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE...GO READ THE FACTS OF THE ACTUAL TESTIMONY!!!

Bonds told a federal grand jury that he used a clear substance and a cream supplied by the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative, or BALCO, but he didn't think they were steroids.

So a test means jack sh1t. What they will have to prove is he willingly and knowingly took or purchased steroids with the intent to use.
