OK, I build my own rigs so I don't need a complete list or run down, just some advice. My laptop that my wife was using for photoshop bit the dust. I will be treating the laptop to an 800fps lime from my cannon, so I need to build her a new rig.
From what I gather, photoshop is totally weak sauce and any low-mid range video card will do fine for 1080p (correct?). I suspect an i3 or a cheap aMd setup would even do her fine (can't believe I mentioned aMd. I am a shameless intel fanboy).
So, if we go the desktop route, any modern low-mid range rig will do fine, yes? If we go the laptop route, then I am in more unfamiliar territory and would expect to pay much more for comparable performance, correct?
I know ips monitors are better for photo editing, but honestly she has been fine with TN, so I might save lots of money there and go with a basic 24" 1080p TN.
Thoughts, suggestions?
