The game's fun, good graphics and animations. And while I like the constant narration, the guy to me sounds almost exactly like the "too much good stuff" guy on the the AM/PM commercials. So when I play the game I think about Hot Dogs, BBQ rib sandwiches & 44 oz Cokes.

This is a very good game, took me by surprise, finished it today. The art work really is beautiful, and it's the first game in frankly years that had standout music to me. It's rare these days that music is anything more than worthless "ambiance"--an after thought. This game is much cheaper on the ipad than xbox, but it's really well worth a play through.

There's a reason this has received such good reviews. It may not have the budget of larger titles but I played through the campaign of Halo 4 and can't remember a damn thing about it already. This game will leave an impression. Two thumbs up for sure.

The Robbie Robertson-sounding narration was awesome. Never heard that in another game and it made a big difference.

Hell yeas you can, apparently on iphone 4s+ also, though I think it would be too small to really enjoy (which is the case for almost all iphone games).

Very true. The devs originally weren't going to port it to the iphone/ipod devices due to the small screen size...but I guess someone decided otherwise.

Oh well... not a loss as it was only 99 cents.

Fantastic game. I could not get into on the PC way back when I first tried it, and even on Chrome I just didn't get into it. Then I got it on the iPad Mini and I'm loving it. Easily the best mobile game I've ever played, without question. Beautiful artwork, wonderful narration and great music. Oh and the game play is pretty fun too!

I understand this. It's almost not so much that I had "fun", but that I appreciated the experience, like going to an art gallery and looking at the art work. At least, that's how I imagine people who go to art galleries feel; I personally don't appreciate the places at all.

I found my self appreciating the story and the art style and losing touch with the actual game play its self. Once I chimed in and realized that the combat was boring and repetitive and that there wasn't much else to it then that, I decided to just put it down.

Excellent game!
just played through this. My total time was a little over 7 hours. I only had about half the idols, and i think was a level 7. Most of the weapons were level 4, two at 5. So there's a lot more i can play, and i plan on going back through it again with the new game plus mode.

I'm curious though, i bought the game through steam with the music soundtrack included. How do i actually get the soundtrack? I don't see anything seperate for it.

I gotta bump this one more time. I bought this game a while ago but only played about an hour. I recently picked it up again when I had some downtime.

The game is beyond awesome! The music, the story telling the little stuff they add in... One of the best smaller games I've played in a long time (just as golden as Plants vs Zombies IMO).

Bastion was in like 3 humble bundles lol.
It was surprisingly fun for me (I don't really play games like this very often)

True, both games focus on walking alone in a post-apocalyptic land filled with death and despair. Granted Fallout 3 didn't have you walk through plazas filled with your dead friends and family with a colorful whimsical lighthearted tone. . .

I wouldn't say they are FILLED with them, but yeah they are there. The ironic part is you are trying to save the land but the beasts fight you because they don't know any better. You also find survivors (not sure if you made it that far).

Good game. Love the narrator's voice and story telling. And very good graphic too.
