I find the movement and response to be a bit slow and clunky--not as fluid as I like.

I don't mean that I'm looking for a platformer with this--I just like to run around these games and mash the jump button.

Still great, I think I'm nearing the end and I'm sort of wondering if the story is really going to go as deep as I'd like it to, I'm getting the feeling it's going to end kind of abruptly and leave some of my questions unanswered, but I still can't wait to find out.

I was surprised to hear about the replayability of this game. Normally these kinds of games tend to collect dust after one playthrough.

If I'm as close to the end as I think I am then I'd say probably 7-10 hours. But I know there's also a "New Game Plus" mode you unlock after beating it, I don't know if anything changes in it or not. Also judging from the menu interface you can unlock a number of different trial modes that have an online scoreboard of some sort, I'd guess they're some kind of survival or time run modes. I can definitely see myself playing through the New Game Plus at least once after this and giving everything else a few tries.

Ah, rolling off the map ain't no big deal...the narrator has some witty comments about it actually. I just fail at getting used to using my new controller (yeah....that's it! :sneaky: )

It's not a comment on the game by any means, which I still highly recommend.

That Breaker Bow challenge made me quite annoyed last night... until I skipped over it and upgraded my bow's damage by 50&#37;. The worst time was when I had 4 shots used and only 1 target left (the middle/bottom one), and I get a power shot off, but it's slightly too early and it only deals 30 damage instead of 31. The target has 31 HP.

Repeater challenge was kind of fun... I had a lot of 60-63 finishes, but ended up getting all 64 (I had the ammo capacity upgrade).

One thing that kind of bums me out is when I realize that I missed something, but I can't go back and get it without losing my entire progress. I was doing a stage (the one that just starts falling apart), and I realized that there was actually an item near the end, but I needed to quickly run over before the land fell apart. Unfortunately, I realized that much after the land had fallen.

I've tried both and actually prefer the keyboard. I'm not an experienced controller player though so that may be why.

If that's true, that relegates it to a definite Steam Sale purchase for me.

Finished it last night, really outstanding game. Easily worth the $15, and I would have paid twice that in spite of being relatively short. I want to go back and check out the other endings and I definitely see myself playing the New Game Plus mode in the near future.

hmm not really my type of game normally, but the demo has been fun so far. I thought looking at it I was going to get all dizzy, but that hasn't happened.

The keyboard is a bit of a PITA to navigate with but it's the only thing I have

Hmm not sure... haven't died yet. I find the game is much easier if you evade and use ranged weapons a lot.

When I took a hit off the guy's pipe, and ended up in that 20 wave gauntlet... I spent most of the time evading away from the mobs and using my Breaker's Bow.

Just bought the game. It is very easy but the voice job, music, atmosphere, wide variety of weapons... what a sweet game.

Yea you really need access to the shrine/idols for the game to have any sort sort of potential lethality, which is something you access as you build the Bastion; they're pretty potent though.

I'd like to see a few more enabled as I've only got the ox at the moment. I don't think I've even built a shrine yet either. Just haven't had the chance to play over the past few days.

Did you guys see that you can actually run this game in google chrome? No plug ins needed, can resize the window and it's in full res. That's pretty cool. I dunno if you have to buy it specifically like this or if as an owner you can now run it like that.
